Migration & Onboarding

Moving your restaurant to RestoManage

Moving to a new POS takes preparation across data, hardware, staff, and service. This checklist covers what normally needs to be prepared, configured, tested, and trained before cutover.

1. Gather source information

Prepare your current menu, modifiers, prices, tax/TRN details, staff roles, branch details, printer models, and any inventory or recipe information you want configured.

2. Menu and configuration setup

Menu items, categories, modifiers, taxes, and restaurant settings are configured in the management environment. Automated import availability depends on the structure and source of your existing data and is confirmed during migration planning.

3. Staff and permissions

Create staff access, roles, and POS PIN workflows appropriate to the restaurant. Multi-branch organizations should confirm which users need access to which locations.

4. Inventory and recipes

If inventory and recipe costing are part of the rollout, ingredients, units, recipe quantities, and reorder settings need to be configured before stock automation can be relied on.

5. Hardware and service test

Validate the intended Windows terminals, ESC/POS printers, Kitchen Display System screens, local network, receipt formatting, and offline behavior before using the system during live service.

6. Branch rollout and training

Train the staff who will use the POS and management portal, then roll out by location based on your operating risk. Migration timing depends on source-data quality, hardware, branch count, and training needs.

What is not automatically included

  • • Historical transaction migration is not assumed unless the source data and migration scope are explicitly agreed.
  • • Direct delivery-aggregator ingestion is not part of the current product; delivery channels can be tracked by order tagging.
  • • Existing payment processors, loyalty programs, accounting packages, or proprietary peripherals should not be treated as integrated until compatibility is confirmed.
  • • A fixed go-live date should only be committed after the menu, hardware, branch count, and data quality are known.

Bring your current setup to the demo

The fastest way to scope a migration is to review your existing POS, menu format, restaurant count, hardware, inventory process, and integrations together.
