Kitchen Display System (KDS)
Keep active tickets, modifiers, item status, and ticket age visible on Windows kitchen screens connected to the restaurant's POS workflow.
POS-to-kitchen workflow
Digital kitchen tickets preserve structured order information such as quantities, modifiers, and fulfillment state. That gives the kitchen a shared queue rather than relying only on loose paper tickets and verbal status updates.
Structured ticket queue
Active orders and item details stay visible in a digital queue instead of becoming isolated paper slips.
Ticket-age visibility
Elapsed time is calculated from the order timestamp, with configurable warning and danger thresholds for escalation.
Local resilience
WAN internet loss does not have to stop a local kitchen workflow, provided the restaurant devices and local network remain available.
Buying decision
Should your kitchen use screens, printers, or both?
A KDS adds digital status and timing visibility, while a printer gives a simple physical ticket. Many kitchens benefit from a deliberate hybrid setup rather than forcing every station into the same hardware pattern.

How does the KDS receive restaurant orders?
RestoManage KDS reads active branch orders through the POS application's local data layer. Kitchen staff can update order and item fulfillment states such as preparing, ready, completed, or cancelled.
Can the KDS keep working if internet access is interrupted?
Local POS and KDS workflows can continue through an internet outage when the restaurant devices and local network remain available. If the local network or a device fails, the affected station still needs an operating fallback.
Can ticket-age warnings be configured?
Yes. The KDS calculates elapsed ticket time and supports manager-configurable warning and danger thresholds, so the visual escalation does not have to rely on one hard-coded timing policy for every restaurant.
Review your real kitchen routing
Bring your station layout, printer setup, and current ticket flow so the KDS workflow can be evaluated against the way your kitchen actually runs.
